Adopt Maverick, our Mascot of the Match! Kansas City Current

Adopt Maverick, our Mascot of the Match!

This season, KC Current is teaming up with local animal shelters in support of pet adoptions. For the third year, the club presents the Mascot of the Match campaign, spotlighting local animals ready for adoption.

Our Mascot of the Match for KC Current vs. Bay FC on Saturday, April 20 is Maverick from KC Pet Project!

Adopt Maverick

Maverick is a 7-year-old Terrier/Pit Bull mix. This amazing boy was surrendered to the shelter at the beginning of April due to housing issues. Maverick recently attended the KC Pet Project 5K as a greeter dog and was fantastic. He met a variety of people, both on the course and at the finish line. He was eager to meet everyone, including adults and children. He enjoyed receiving cuddles and pets.

In his previous home, Maverick lived with other dogs and has been attending playgroups at the shelter. This boy is also smart and knows sit, stay, come and down! Maverick loves toys, especially balls, and would love a family to play with. Maverick is what we like to call a "move-in ready" dog. He is house-trained, sleeps in his kennel and loves everyone! If you are interested in adopting Maverick, bring your whole family, including doggy friends, to meet him at the KC Campus for Animal Care today!
